Free Website Review for San Antonio Businesses
A real person goes through your site against a 12 point checklist and sends you a plain English list of what is costing you leads, ranked by how much it matters. No cost, no obligation, and no automated PDF from a scanning tool.
What is the free website review?
It is a manual review of your website by our team, covering speed, mobile experience, search visibility, and conversion, delivered as a written list of prioritised fixes within 3 business days. It is free, it takes about 45 minutes of our time, and you are under no obligation to hire us afterwards. You keep the findings either way.
We offer it because it is also how we qualify our own work. By the end of the review we know whether we can actually help you, and you know whether we understand your business. If the answer to either is no, that is a useful outcome for both of us and it cost you nothing to find out.
What you will not get is a 40 page automated report generated by a crawler. Those documents flag hundreds of technically true issues without telling you which three actually matter, and every agency sending them is sending the same one.
The 12 things we check
Every review covers all twelve. The report tells you which ones you pass, which ones are costing you money, and what fixing each would involve.
| What we check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Mobile load speed | Deloitte and Google found a 0.1 second improvement lifted lead generation form submissions by 21.6 percent. Most sites we review are slowest exactly where most of their traffic is. |
| Core Web Vitals | Google measures real user experience on your site. Poor scores hurt rankings and, more importantly, make visitors leave before the page finishes drawing. |
| Mobile usability | Tap targets, readable text without zooming, whether the phone number is actually tappable. Small things that quietly cost calls. |
| Conversion path | How many clicks from landing to contacting you, how many form fields, and whether the next step is obvious on every important page. |
| Lead tracking | Whether your form submissions and phone calls are actually recorded in analytics. On most sites we audit at least one conversion is not being tracked at all. |
| Title tags and meta descriptions | What your listing looks like in search results, and whether it gives anyone a reason to click your link over a competitor's. |
| Heading structure | Whether the page has one clear H1 and a logical outline. Search engines and AI assistants both use this to work out what the page is about. |
| Indexing status | Whether your important pages are actually in Google's index. Pages can be live, linked, and still completely invisible. |
| Google Business Profile alignment | Whether your name, address, phone, categories and services match your site. Mismatches suppress you in local results. |
| AI assistant visibility | BrightLocal's 2026 survey found 45 percent of consumers now use tools like ChatGPT to find local businesses. We check what they currently say about your category. |
| Trust signals | Reviews, credentials, real photos, clear contact details. What a first time visitor sees that tells them you are a real business. |
| Competitor comparison | Two competitors ranking above you, and the specific things they are doing on their pages that you are not. |
How it works, start to finish
Four steps. The only thing we need from you is your website address.
You send the form
Website address, what you sell, and what you wish the site did better. Thirty seconds of work. We do not need access to anything.
Takes: 30 secondsWe review it by hand
Someone on our team works through the 12 point checklist on your actual site, on a real phone as well as desktop, and looks at two competitors ranking above you.
Takes: about 45 minutesYou get the findings
A written summary in plain language. What is working, what is costing you leads, and the fixes ranked by impact against effort. Yours to keep or hand to another developer.
Within: 3 business daysOptional walkthrough
If you want, we will spend 20 minutes on a call going through it with you and answering questions. If you would rather just read it and move on, that is completely fine.
Optional: 20 minutesRequest your free website review
Fill this in and we will get started. You will hear from a person, not an autoresponder sequence.
What you actually receive
Written for a business owner, not for a developer. If a fix needs technical work we say so and estimate the effort.
In the report
- A short summary you could read in two minutes
- The three highest impact problems, with what each is likely costing you
- All 12 checklist items marked pass, watch, or fix
- Screenshots of the specific issues on your own pages
- Two competitors and what they are doing that you are not
- A suggested order to tackle things in
Not in the report
- Hundreds of automated warnings with no priority
- A generic score out of 100 that means nothing on its own
- Made up traffic projections or guaranteed ranking claims
- A proposal you did not ask for stapled to the back
- Anything you cannot take to another agency and use
Why these reviews usually find something
Three findings from independent research that we see confirmed on site after site.
Increase in visitors reaching the form submission page on lead generation sites from a 0.1 second improvement in mobile speed. Speed is the single most common thing we flag.
Deloitte and Google, Milliseconds Make MillionsClick through to a regular search result when an AI summary is present, against when it is not. Being visible now means being quotable, not just ranked.
Pew Research Center, July 2025Consumers who now use AI tools such as ChatGPT to find local businesses, up from 6 percent. Most sites we review have done nothing to prepare for this.
BrightLocal Local Consumer Review Survey, 2026Frequently asked questions about the free website review
Is the website review really free?
Yes. There is no cost, no card required, and no trial that converts into a subscription. We do it because a review is the most honest sales conversation we can have. You see how we think before you spend anything, and we find out whether your business is a good fit for the way we work.
How long does it take to get the review?
Within 3 business days of your request. If we are unusually busy we will tell you when you submit rather than leaving you wondering. The review itself takes us about 45 minutes of focused work per site.
Who actually does the review?
A member of our team in San Antonio, working through your live site by hand on both desktop and a real phone. We use tools to measure speed and indexing, but the judgement about what matters and what to do first is human.
Do you need access to my website or analytics?
No. Everything in the standard review is visible from the outside. If you choose to give us read access to Google Analytics or Search Console we can go deeper on tracking and indexing, but that is entirely optional and never required.
Will you try to sell me something afterwards?
We will offer a 20 minute call to walk you through the findings, and you are free to decline it. If you want a quote for the fixes we will give you one. If you want to take the report to your existing developer, that is a completely reasonable outcome and the report is written so you can.
Is this only for businesses in San Antonio?
The review works for any business with a website. We are based in San Antonio and most of our clients are here or elsewhere in Texas, which means the local search and Google Business Profile parts of the review are especially useful if you serve a local market.
What if my website is brand new?
Then the review is mostly about foundations. Indexing, tracking, speed, and whether the structure will support search visibility as you grow. It is often more valuable at this stage than later, because fixing structure early is far cheaper than retrofitting it.
What happens to my information?
We use it to run the review and contact you about it. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing list without your say so. If you would rather we deleted your details after the review, ask and we will.
Rather talk it through first?
Some people would rather ask a question before filling anything in. That is fine. Call FOG Digital Marketing on (726) 224-4920 or book a short call and we will point you in the right direction whether or not you ever become a client. Our office is at 2822 N Loop 1604 W Suite 109, San Antonio, TX 78248.
If you already know what needs doing, you may want our SEO services, conversion rate optimization, or web design instead.
Find out what your website is really doing
Twelve checks, one written report, three business days, no cost. The worst case is you learn your site is in better shape than you thought.
