Google Business Profile Optimization  Â·  San Antonio

Claiming Your Google Profile Was the Easy Part

Most of the profiles we take over have something wrong with them. Duplicates left over from an old suspension, reviews split across three listings, three hundred services nobody reads, hours that have not been right in years. Google never told you any of it mattered.

Sound Familiar

Three Messes We Untangle Almost Every Week

None of these happen because somebody was careless. They happen because Google lets you create a profile in four minutes and never tells you what any of it does.

01

Three Profiles for One Business

One got suspended so somebody opened another. Then a third, just in case. Now there are eight reviews on one, three on another, one on the third, and Google has no idea which is real. Neither do your customers.

What it costs you: the reviews and the activity that decide the map box are split three ways, so not one of the three is strong enough to win it.

02

Google Suspended the Good One

Two profiles for the same address often reads to Google as somebody impersonating a business. The one that usually goes is the one with all the reviews, and the duplicate you barely used is the one left standing.

What it costs you: you disappear from the map the day it happens, and whatever survives has no reviews left to rank with.

03

A Profile Per Location, Plus a Main One

Each location gets its own listing, which is right, and then a fourth gets created for the company overall, which is not. They compete with each other in the same searches and split the reviews across all four.

What it costs you: Google sees four businesses fighting over the same search and frequently shows none of them.

Most owners have no idea which of these applies to them, because Google never tells you a duplicate exists. What the three have in common is where they end: you are not in the three spots next to the map, and that is where the calls come from.

How Local Search Actually Works

Your Website Ranks Below the Map. Your Profile Ranks In It.

Someone searches for your service near them. Google answers twice on the same screen. First it shows three businesses beside a map, the block local SEO calls the map pack. Underneath that, it lists websites.

Two different properties, ranked by two different things. Your website earns the listings below. The three spots beside the map come from Google Business Profiles. A strong site helps you win both, but nothing on it can put you in those three slots on its own.

Fourth place is not on the screen. It is behind a "more places" link that most people never tap.

What It Costs Depends on Two Things

Whether the profile is your only channel or one piece of something bigger, and whether anything is broken underneath it. Answer both and we will show you the one that applies to you.

Question 1 of 2

Do you have a website you want showing up in Google?

If the website matters, the profile should not be managed on its own. The two rank together, and paying somebody to keep a profile warm while the site sits still gets you about half a result. For you the profile work belongs inside a monthly SEO plan, where it is already included. See the monthly SEO plans →

Start with the repair, then pick how it gets maintained. Merging listings and getting a suspension lifted is its own piece of work, and there is no point optimising a profile that Google is about to take down or that is competing with a duplicate of itself.

Nothing to untangle, so it comes down to who does the upkeep. We can run it every month, or we can bring it up to standard once and teach you to keep it there.

Managed monthly

$750per month

We keep the profile working

For businesses where the profile is the whole front door and there is no website behind it.

  • Posts and photos going up on a schedule, not when somebody remembers
  • Every review answered, and a process so new ones keep arriving
  • Categories and services checked monthly, including the ones Google adds on its own
  • Questions answered before a customer answers them wrong
  • A monthly report of calls, direction requests and website clicks

One time, then it is yours

$3,000one time

We bring it up to standard and train you

The same as four months of the plan above, except at the end of it the knowledge is yours instead of ours.

  • The full optimization: categories, services, area, hours, photos, every empty field
  • Two hours of live training on Zoom with the person who did the work
  • A written playbook you keep: what to post, how often, how to answer a review
  • What to do when Google adds a service you do not actually offer
  • Thirty days of email questions after the session

If something is broken

Repair Is Priced on Its Own, and It Comes First

From $750quoted once we look

Duplicate listings, split reviews, a suspension, or four profiles for a business with three addresses. This is separate work and it sits on top of whichever option above you choose, because untangling an account is not the same job as optimising one.

We do not put a fixed price on it because we cannot see what is there until we look. What we can tell you is which of these you are looking at, on the call, before anything is owed.

And on suspensions, the honest part: reinstatement is Google's decision, not ours. We can fix the cause, file the appeal properly and give it the best case it has. We cannot promise Google says yes, and anyone who promises that is selling you something.

What We Optimize

What Google Actually Reads on a Business Profile

It is not guessing, and it is not ranking you on effort. It reads specific fields and specific signals around them. Four of them carry most of the weight, and they are the four almost nobody finishes.

Categories and services

The One Field That Decides Which Searches You Show Up In

Your primary category is the strongest single lever on the entire profile, and most businesses picked it in four seconds on the day they signed up. Underneath it sit the services, which have to be written the way a customer says them out loud, not the way the trade writes them on an invoice.

So: a fence company filed under “contractor” will not come up for “fence repair near me.” Google matches the search to the category before it looks at anything else.

Photos and posts

The Part the Customer Judges Before They Read a Word

Real photos of real work, named and dated properly, added on a rhythm instead of all at once three years ago. Posts that keep the profile moving rather than letting it sit still for a year and a half.

So: a profile nobody has touched since 2023 reads as a business that might have closed. And the photos are the last thing someone looks at before they call.

Reviews, and how they arrive

Recency and Replies, Not Just the Star Rating

How recent the reviews are, whether they name the service, and whether anybody answers them. We build the asking into how the business runs so it stops depending on somebody remembering on a slow Tuesday.

So: a review from this month counts for more than one from 2021, and a customer comparing two businesses reads your replies before they read the stars.

Service area and the blank fields

Every Empty Field Is a Question Answered Somewhere Else

Holiday hours, attributes, the description, the Q and A section, the booking link, and a service area drawn to match where the trucks actually go rather than a thirty mile circle around the office.

So: Google favours profiles that are finished, and anything you leave blank is something the customer has to go find out. Usually on a competitor’s listing.

All four get done in the one time repair, and then they are done. Two of them will not stay done on their own: photos and reviews. Keeping those moving is part of monthly SEO, because a profile left alone goes quietly stale while the listing next to yours keeps going.

The Proof

What It Looks Like When the Profile Is Actually Working

People Asking Google for Directions

Almost nobody asks Google to navigate somewhere they are not actually going, which makes this the closest a local business gets to counting the people who walked in. On a profile that did not exist before we built it, alongside 26,806 interactions and 2,484 reviews at 4.7 stars.

Average Position in the Map Pack

Only three businesses appear beside the map at all, so second is the difference between getting the call and not existing. The same profile logged 841 interactions in six months, around 140 a month on a single location, at 4.9 stars from 505 reviews.

Questions

What Owners Ask Us About Their Google Profile

My profile got suspended. Can you get it back?

Sometimes, and we will tell you honestly which case yours looks like before you pay anything. We fix whatever caused it, then file the appeal with the documentation Google asks for. What nobody can do is guarantee the outcome, because reinstatement is Google's decision. Anyone promising you a yes is promising something they do not control.

I have three profiles for the same business. What happens to the reviews?

Where Google allows a merge, the reviews move to the surviving profile. Where it does not, they stay with the listing they were left on, which is the honest reason to sort this out sooner rather than later. We find every duplicate first, work out which listing Google trusts most, and build around that one.

How long before I see anything?

The profile is the fastest surface Google has. Category and service changes can move within days, and photos and posts start showing almost immediately. Ranking movement in the map takes longer, usually a few weeks to a couple of months, and it depends on how competitive your category is inside your radius.

Does the profile stay fixed, or does it need somebody on it every month?

Both, and it is worth knowing which is which. The structural work stays fixed: merged listings, the right categories, services, service area and the fields nobody fills in. You pay for that once. What does not stay fixed is photos, posts, reviews arriving, and the services Google keeps adding on its own. That upkeep runs inside our monthly SEO rather than as a separate profile plan.

Can I buy the profile work without signing up for SEO?

Yes. The repair is a standalone project with a start and a finish, and plenty of businesses stop there. What we do not sell on its own is the monthly upkeep, because keeping a profile warm while the website sits still only gets you halfway and you end up paying for half a result.

Is this the same thing as SEO?

No, and that confusion costs people money. Your website and your Google Business Profile are two separate properties that Google treats differently. The profile is what puts you in the map results. The website is what ranks below them. They should back each other up, but optimising one does nothing for the other on its own.

I have three hundred services listed. Is that bad?

Yes, and it is one of the most common things we find. A list that long tells Google nothing about what you actually do, and it tells a customer even less. The fix is a short, accurate set of services matched to your primary category, written the way people search rather than the way a trade describes itself.

Who owns the profile when we are done?

You do, always. We work inside your account with manager access, never by transferring ownership to us. If we stop working together you change one permission and everything stays exactly where it is. Any agency that wants ownership of your listing is holding something of yours.

Can you get me into the top three of the map?

Nobody can promise that. Proximity to the searcher is a factor no one can change, so a business on the north side will not appear for a search run downtown no matter what anyone does. What we can do is make sure that when someone is close enough, nothing about your profile is the reason you lose the spot.

Let Us Look at Your Profile Before You Decide Anything

Book a call and we will open your listing together. Thirty minutes, and you leave knowing what is actually wrong with it and what it would take to fix.

  • Whether you have duplicates. We look for every listing tied to your business, including the ones you forgot you made.
  • What is missing. The fields, categories and settings that are empty, and which ones actually cost you customers.
  • A real number. Which of the two prices your account falls under, decided on the call, not guessed off this page.
  • Whether you need us at all. If your profile is already in good shape, we will say so and you will have spent thirty minutes.
